Walk the Line

Johnny Cash e June Carter já não estão mais entre nós, subiram há uns cinco anos. Vendo o poster lembrei-me da ótima interpretação dos dois atores no filme: Johnny Cash (Joaquin Phoenix) e June Carter (Reese Whiterspoon).
É um excelente filme que conta de forma bem fiel a trajetória desses dois grandes interpretes da música country americana.

'London calling', do The Clash, completa 30 anos

Alguns álbuns possuem o esteriótipo de revolucionários. Ora, o que faz "London Calling", terceira bolacha do The Clash um disco para ser lembrado trinta anos depois do seu lançamento? Cara pálida a resposta é simple: uma banda punk por excelência, três acordes, baixo, guitarra e bateria que de repente lança um álbum duplo, luxo até então reservado aos dinossauros, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones e outros grandes, contendo dezenove faixas com uma sonoridade inimaginável para uma banda punk merece ser lembrado e citado como referência por qualquer mortal que se aventure pelos caminhos tortos do rock.
Conheci a banda de Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon e Topper Headon, ainda nos anos 80, através do álbum triplo "Sandinista".
Sandinista é na minha modesta opinião a obra definitiva e derradeira do Clash, algo como o "White Album" deles.
